The client – a significant player in the rail transportation industry – is set to embark on a huge overhaul of its digital platforms, upgrading its infrastructure and migrating to the cloud. It has chosen to partner with Modis, in order to leverage its full expertise and experience.  

By migrating its IT systems to the cloud and overhauling its IT infrastructure, the rail company hopes to better utilize opportunities enabled by connectivity and digitalization. After a long tendering process, Modis has won a large outsourcing infrastructure management contract to operate the existing infrastructure while ensuring a smooth transition to the cloud.

Under the three-year contract (with a possible extension to five years), Modis will help to adopt new technologies (Cloud, BigData, IoT, APIs, etc.) and new practices (Agile, DevOps). It will also support the creation of a Service and Expertise Center, whose responsibilities include: • Guaranteeing a high level of service to all companies within the group

• Accelerating migration to the cloud and adopting new DevOps approaches
• Ensuring flexibility and agility
• Reducing costs through standardization and industrialization
