Akkodis is seeking a SR Network Engineer with a client Automotive client located in Dearborn, MI. We are looking for a seasoned Senior WAN Engineering professional to join our diverse and experienced Global WAN Engineering team. The WAN Engineering team defines the Global Wide Area Network connectivity solutions that ensures required communications and data is highly available and reliably exchanged within the Globally Distributed Wide Area Network. Heavy Cloud experience is a must.
Pay Range: $47.00hr - $50.00/hr
This is a contract role.
No C2C available.
SR Network Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Perform platform, configuration, testing WAN technologies to establish standards on installation, configuration, operations and management
• Test and consult as new services as technologies evolve
• Provide 3rd-level technical support to on-site and central operations personnel
• Participate in ongoing audits, security reviews, consulting requests and change control reviews
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree
• 7+ years in a Global Enterprise level Network Engineering role
• Core understanding of global WAN and Telecommunications Technologies in particular TCP/IP networks, routing, switching, load balancing, Cloud & SaaS Cloud technologies, SD-WAN, IPsec, QOS, VoIP, OSPF, LDAP, SMTP, Proxy servers, Load-Balancers and network security protocols
• Agile processes and Cloud experience
