Job Description:
We're excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Group Manager in our Omaha, Nebraska office. This role is for experienced professionals, involving challenging and complex assignments with excellent prospects for career advancement. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry relationships with the Nebraska DOT and Omaha-Metro local agencies, or a proven track record of successful engagements with both DOT and local agency clientele. Strong business development, project management, and people management skills are essential for this leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives, focusing on expanding transportation planning, traffic engineering, and road and bridge design services within Nebraska, surrounding areas, and nationally.
• Lead efforts to enhance our diverse and dynamic group of transportation professionals based in Omaha.
• Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients.
• Oversee complex, multi-discipline projects crucial to local and regional transportation networks.
• Coordinate the technical and professional development of staff at all levels within the Omaha Transportation Group.
• Monitor project progress and budgets for multiple project managers.
• Provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on complex deliverables and reports.
• Represent the company at industry events and participate in professional organizations in leadership roles.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Civil Engineer license required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and coordinate professional staff.
• Proven track record of coordinating multi-discipline project pursuit and delivery across various clients and geographies.
• Experience collaborating with the Nebraska DOT and/or local agencies in densely populated areas is preferred.
• Active involvement in professional organizations, including leadership roles, is desirable.
• Progressive experience and recognized skills in providing transportation consulting services to local and state agencies.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are a must, with experience in presentations, conference attendance, and participation in project interviews preferred.
