kkodis is seeking a Patient Coordinator - Support for a client in LA, CA for a contract of 3-4 months.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Scheduling appointments, insurance verification for various physician specialties

Title: Support Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities

  • Registration: Collect and accurately record patient demographic and insurance information.

  • all required forms and documents are completed and signed by the patient.

  • Verification: Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for new patients.

  • insurance-related information to patients, including co-pays and deductible amounts.

Scheduling: Schedule appointments for new patients, coordinating with medical staff and providers.

  • appointment calendars to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.

and Data Entry:Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) for new patients.

Enter patient information, medical history, and other relevant data into the EHR system.

Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, addressing inquiries and providing information on clinic procedures and policies.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient intake process.

Resolution:Address patient concerns or issues related to the intake process promptly and professionally.

  • Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex issues or discrepancies.

Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance standards when handling patient information.

Stay updated on industry changes and regulations relevant to patient intake.

  • Enterprise - Non-Clinical Onboarding - Must complete all onboarding requirements prior to the start date, with no exceptions.

Requirements

  • school diploma ;relevant college coursework is a plus

  • experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred.

  • computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • must have the ability to proficiently perform new patient intake procedures.

  • interpersonal and communication skills.

  • to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

  • to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.

  • of insurance verification and billing processes is advantageous.

  • service-oriented, with a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.

  • to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
