Akkodis is looking for a Security Specialist for a contract position in Chicago, IL.

Contract Duration: 6 - month contract with possible extension

Pay rate: $59.00/ hourly

Job Description:

As a US&C Security Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Sr Regional Security Manager for the US&C Security Team with general project management and administrative tasks, as well as on site security for all Uber sites in the Chicago area. You will work cross-functionally with local, regional, Global Security teams to execute on global initiatives and priorities. This role will report directly to the Sr. Regional Security Manager for the US&C. The right person for this role is a self-starter who thrives in an "all hands on deck" environment, loves problem-solving, and can move quickly as a builder and doer in a tech-enabling, data-driven culture.

What You’ll Do

Project Management & Administrative Tasks (60%): This role will support the US&C Security Team with administrative support, including:

·       Updates necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that project and/or program status is maintained with complete accuracy.

·       Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored

·       Manages team documentation and ensures all are up to date and accurate in collaboration with the Program Management Team

·       Support training & other initiatives by assisting with the development of decks, comms, and delivery thereof.

Chicago On-site Physical Security Management 40%: In collaboration with the Sr. Security Lead for the US&C East, you will:

·       Oversee security operations for all locations and staff on the West Coast.

·       Help coordinate response and incident management to address threats toward company staff, assets, and operations.

·       Educate key stakeholders on security principles and implementation.

·       Implement the Physical Security strategy in your region in alignment with the business goals.

·       Implement processes to define performance metrics – use data to make decisions.

·       Maintain strong relationships and effective communication across all regional business operations. Develop strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies as well as

private sector peers.

·       Develop security awareness and education programs and materials and deliver in-person, on-site training.

·       Conduct site security assessments on a quarterly basis

Basic Qualifications

·       Basic understanding of corporate physical security operations. Outstanding written and

verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively to a broad audience.

·       Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

·       Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

·       Documentation management and ability to use project management tools

·       Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

·       Proficient with Google Suite. Advanced proficiency in using Excel or Google Sheets, as well as Google Slides.

·       Ability to function independently with moderate supervision; awareness of when to engage other colleagues.

·       A collaborative approach and demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads

·       Enjoys creative problem solving and developing new, efficient and effective processes.

·       A passion for Uber

Preferred Qualifications

·       3 Years of security experience working with security vendors

·       3 years of physical security experience, particularly in guard force management and overseeing corporate office security including but not limited to; physical security, access control, security systems, and other security functions.
