Akkodis is seeking a General Drafting Technician for a contract position with a client located in Muscatine, Iowa. The successful candidate will work with project, maintenance, electrical and process engineers to create and or/revise mechanical, structural, electrical and process drawings. You will also create and/or revise drawings from computation, sketches and/or verbal directions using AutoCAD 2024
Pay/Salary Range: $25.00/hr - $58.00 hr
General Drafting Technician job responsibilities include:
- Excellent CADD operating skills
- Understanding of mechanical and civil design practices and regulations related to system design, equipment layout and Mechanical
- AutoCAD expertise (V8 2018 or higher)
- Previous manufacturing experience - particularly with process related equipment (i.e., pumps, piping and heat exchangers, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This position requires working the Muscatine Plant core business hours
- Extended hours and weekend work required when needed to support plant activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Word
