Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, where you have experience in navigating complex project landscapes is pivotal. This role calls for proficiency across modeling methodologies, technical acumen, business analysis, and effective communication. Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Criteria:

  • Modeling and Methodologies:

    • Proficiency in SDLC, including Agile and waterfall methods

    • Skilled in Business Object Oriented Modeling and UML tools

    • Familiarity with Public Sector Digital Service Standard and Digital assessment processes

    • Knowledge of Zachman framework and Public Sector Architecture Governance

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience in analyzing system applications in mainframe environments

    • Proficient in automated system implementation in complex mainframe and mid-tier setups

    • Familiarity with legacy infrastructure hosting environments and modernization processes

    • Competence in implementing business solutions using Custom off the Shelf technologies

    • Ability to document requirements using tools like Azure DevOps and Jira

  • Business Analysis Skills:

    • Engaging stakeholders to understand requirements and provide estimates

    • Crafting high-quality business cases and navigating approvals

    • Documenting various deliverables such as requirements specifications and test plans

    • Facilitating JAD/Sprint sessions and translating business needs into technical requirements

    • Conducting feasibility analysis and project scoping

  • Communication Skills:

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Experience in facilitating project meetings and reporting progress regularly

    • Proficiency in creating automated information and status reports

  • Business Subject Matter Knowledge and Expertise:

    • Understanding of program & service concepts, business processes, and service delivery models

    • Knowledgeable in public sector applications, databases, and systems

    • Experience working in accordance with Acts, Policies, and Procedures of Public Sector Services

  • Public Sector Experience:

    • Familiarity with Public Sector I&IT Solutions architecture and project delivery methodologies

    • Knowledge of Custom off the Shelf product implementations with third-party vendors

    • Adherence to Acts, Policies, and Procedures of Public Sector Services
