Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Software Developer. As a Software Developer, where you have experience in Azure Databricks, Oracle SQL, and cloud platforms like Azure will drive impactful BI solutions. We're seeking a seasoned professional to lead in designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge data analytics tools, contributing to the advancement of public sector initiatives.
Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.
Must Haves:
Demonstrated experience in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage, ADF, Azure Analysis Service
Implement, maintain, and support BI solutions in Microsoft and other BI platforms
Extensive experience with Oracle SQL and Spark SQL
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and working knowledge for cloud migration
Experience with Microsoft Azure data analytics tools, such as Azure Data Factories, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse
Nice to Have:
Prior public sector experience
Experience working with PeopleSoft data
Proficiency with Power BI and DAX
Evaluation Criteria:
Development Skills:
10+ years of experience in data analysis developing business intelligence and reporting in medium to large-corporate environments
Demonstrated detailed knowledge of BI functions such as analytics, data modeling & data mining, reporting, report conversion, and data cleansing
Design and develop BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements
Complete committed backlog and sprints within the agreed-upon timeframe
Curate data from multiple sources for efficient presentation in an enterprise environment
Recommend improvements to streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality
Remain abreast of technology developments relevant to BI and Reporting initiatives
The document "As Built" reports and all data transformations deployed to production
Take ownership of end-to-end development of each dashboard and report
Proven ability to work with complex SQL queries
Ability to organize complex SQL for readability and understanding by others
Solid understanding of concepts underlying analytical data models
Technology Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and working knowledge for cloud migration
Expertise in advanced prediction and prescriptive analytics
Internally motivated and adaptable
Managing Power BI workspaces, report access, report deployment
Strong knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing data models
Strong Power BI experience
Able to troubleshoot BI reporting and analytic business needs
